Puteaux
The former car garage acquired in December 2018 is in Puteaux, a commune located on the left bank of the Seine in the Western suburbs of Paris. The site is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from La Défense business district and 18 minutes' walk away from the Bois de Boulogne.
The presence of hydrocarbons, metals and chlorinated compounds in the soil has been identified in connection with the site's former activities, as well as asbestos in former buildings. Polluted soils were excavated during infrastructure works, sorted on site and sent to appropriate waste management facilities.
The redevelopment plan includes 2,400 sqm of housing representing 31 housing units, a majority of which are two-bedroom units or larger. The municipal authorities did not wish to include social housing in the development, as the quota for this type of housing has been reached in the city.
